摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simultaneous production method of normal butanol and isobutyl aldehyde by reacting a propylene with hydrogen and carbon monoxide. <P>SOLUTION: The propylene is reacted with hydrogen and carbon monoxide in a reactor 2 in the presence of a catalyst containing a compound of a metal element of the groups 8 to 10 of the periodic table (Step A). The resultant reaction product stream is separated into an overhead distillate containing normal butyl aldehyde and the like and a side stream containing isobutanol and the like through a separator 5 (first distillation column) (Step B). The overhead distillate is fractionated into normal butyl aldehyde and isobutyl aldehyde through a separator 10 (second distillation column), whereas the side stream is fractionated into isobutanol and normal butanol through a separator 14 (third distillation column) (Step C). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
