PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module or the like capable of preventing the infiltration of adhesive agent into an imaging area caused by the projection of the adhesive agent at the manufacture of the camera module, thereby, capable of reducing defects at the manufacture. SOLUTION: The camera module 1 includes: a sensor 5 that converts incident light to an electrical signal and outputs the signal; a glass cover 7 that transmits the light entering the sensor 5 as incident light; a flexible substrate 6 that holds the sensor 5 and the glass cover 7, where the electrical signal output from the sensor 5 is input; a lens unit 2 that condenses the incident light to the sensor 5; and a pedestal 3 that holds the lens unit 2, where the lower end surface of the side wall part 3e thereof is adhered to the flexible substrate 6 with the adhesive agent 11.
