<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a putter type golf club which makes a smooth swing possible with a higher stability. <P>SOLUTION: A head 2 belongs to the putter type golf club. The head 2 includes a face part 4, a back part 6, a toe link part 8 and a heel link part 10. The heights H at points of the lower surface of the head 2 are prescribed as follows: the height H(c1) at the point c1 is larger than the height H (c4) at the point c4, the height H(h1) at the point h1 is larger than the height H(h5) at the point h5, the height H(t1) at the point t1 is larger than the height H(t5) at the point t5, the height H(h5) at the point h5 is larger than the height H(c4) at the point c4 and the height H(t5) at the point t5 is larger than the height H(c4) at the point c4.
