SOLUTION: This file managing device 10 includes a file managing part 1 for managing a file recorded in a hard disk 6, a recording medium control part 2 for controlling data writing and reading to/from the hard disk according to an instruction of the file managing part 1, an unused area managing part 3 for managing unused areas in the hard disk 6, an unused area connecting part 4 for connecting unused areas in the hard disk 6, and a delay alternate processing part 5 for executing alternate processing while delaying the alternate processing.
