PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which a standby system computer takes over services before completing synchronization. SOLUTION: When data is updated, a transmitting part 109-1 of an operating system node 10-1 stores information on a corresponding area in an unupdated information storage part 103-1 and updates the data in a standby system node 10-2. A receiving part 110-2 of the node 10-2 reports updated area information to the node 10-1 and deletes corresponding unupdated area information from an unupdated area information storage part 104-2. An update standby part 111-1 of the node 10-1 deletes unupdated information corresponding to the area indicated by the reported updated area information from the storage part 103-1. An installation request accepting part 113-1 of the node 10-1, when requested by an installation requesting part 112-1 of the node 10-2 to start synchronization, stores the unupdated information stored in the storage part 103-1 in the storage part 104-2 as unupdated area information and then reflects data on the corresponding area in the node 10-2.
