PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector of DLP method projecting an image with less uneven illuminance by reducing a deviation of an illuminance distribution on a mirror surface. SOLUTION: The projector is provided with an optical engine comprising: a lamp; an integrator 14 which converts incident light to planar light and emits the planar light; a doublet lens 15 which magnifies emission light from the integrator 14; and a mirror which reflects the emission light from the doublet lens 15, wherein the mirror 16 is disposed on the intersection of the cross-section where a difference between a cross-section of divergent light 31 of a prescribed angle emitted from the center of an emission surface 14a of the integrator 14 and parallel light 30 emitted from the whole surface of the emission surface 14a of the integrator 14 becomes minimum, with the optical axis, when the divergent light 31 is compared with the parallel light 30 in the same cross-section vertical to the optical axis.
