PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge structure and a ridge construction method which contribute to improved construction efficiency. SOLUTION: According to the ridge structure, a plurality of ridge covers 15, 16 are mounted on a ridge portion of a roof 11 over almost the entire length in a ridge extending direction, and coping retainers 20 are mounted on upper surfaces 15a, 16a of the respective ridge covers 15, 16, followed by laying upper portions of a plurality of roof tiles 24 to be arranged on upper areas of slope portions on both sides of the ridge, on the upper surfaces 15a, 16a of the respective ridge covers 15, 16, to thereby mount the roof tiles on the roof. Herein the structure of the areas where the roof tiles 24 are arranged, on both the sides of the ridge, are formed of the ridge covers 15, 16 mounted on the ridge portion over the entire length in the ridge extending direction, in the same conditions, and therefore the height of the areas where the roof tiles 24 are arranged can be set to a constant height. Further the same structure is formed over the entire length of the ridge in the ridge extending direction, and therefore compared with the case where a structure is partially different, construction work is efficiently carried out.
