A light-effect device has a fog-generator at least one linear laser, a ventilator (15) and at least one molded rail (8). The ventilator (15) generates an air-stream which changes the fog into discrete fog clouds with intermediate gaps without fog, and which are transported along the laser beam (7) so that the laser beams are visible on the fog clusters and create the impression of a flame.
