摘要 <p>The application discloses a method and computer program product for calculating the component value of a first part of an electric circuit (100) having a plurality of electromagnetically coupled segments (111 -115) from a simulation of the electromagnetic behaviour of the electric circuit (100). The method comprises providing a model of the electric circuit, inserting a plurality of ports (P1 -P12) into said model, the inserting step including inserting node ports (P1 -P6) into said model such that each segment has a node port at each segment terminal, and inserting switch ports (P7-P12) into said model such that each node port (P5, P6) located at a junction between segments is conductively coupled to each junction segment via respective switch ports; and providing a matrix of parameter data of the plurality of ports from an electromagnetic behavioural simulation using the model. The insertion of additional ports (P5-P12), preferably at the nodes of the equivalent circuit allows for the determination of the contributions of isolated segments and combinations of segments to the overall EM behaviour of the electric circuit (100), e.g. an integrated circuit.</p>
