LAUNDRY DRYER

A dryer is provided to improve safety by supplying power to a steam generating unit only when a cartridge is connected. A dryer comprises a steam generating unit, a cartridge, and a limit switch(600). The steam generating unit supplies steam into a tub. The detachable cartridge supplies water to the steam generating unit. The limit switch is connected between a drive load of the steam generating unit and a power supply unit supplying power to the drive load so that power is supplied only when the cartridge is attached. The drive load of the steam generating unit is one of a pump(400) or a heater(240). The pump guides water from the cartridge to the steam generating unit. The heater heats water of the steam generating unit.
