A vibration absorber for a rotary compressor is provided to substantially reduce noise caused by vibration of the rotary compressor through absorbing the vibration generated from a compressor body via a coolant suction tube and an accumulator. A vibration absorber for a rotary compressor comprises an accumulator to separate liquid and gas from introduced coolant, a support bracket(110) coupled between a compressor casing and the accumulator to support the accumulator to the compressor casing, at least one elastic member(121), and an additional mass body(122). The accumulator is coupled to a cylinder contained in the compressor casing to be communicated with a coolant suction tube. The elastic member has an end thereof fixed to the support bracket. The additional mass body is coupled to an opposite end of the elastic member to absorb vibration generated from the compressor together with the elastic member.
