<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-ended base lighting fixture that allows a base part of a single-ended base discharge lamp to be simply attached to a socket by insertion. <P>SOLUTION: The single-ended base lighting fixture is provided with a single-ended base discharge lamp 1, a socket 2 connected with the single-ended base discharge lamp 1, and a hood 3 that covers the periphery of the single-ended base discharge lamp 1. Each protruding part 12a is formed on the outer peripheral face of a basal part 12 of the single-ended base discharge lamp 1. Each protruding part 3d is formed on the inner peripheral face of the hood 3. These protruding parts 12a, 3d are respectively used as alignment marks.
