PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer control method which enhances durability of a line head printing means by minimizing its biased wearing out even when printing a plurality of character string lines consisting of a plurality of characters and numerical values arranged spaced in a figure direction, and which nicely makes printing over a long time by avoiding a printing failure. SOLUTION: The printer control method of the present invention controls the printer which records predetermined information by printing a plurality of character string lines consisting of a plurality of characters arranged spaced in a figure direction, by a thermal head 2 having a linear heater 13 in which a plurality of heating elements 12 are paralleled to recording paper P to be fed. The heating position of the heating elements 12 in the heater 13 is shifted by character space in the figure direction for every transaction being a predetermined recording.
