PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for recording even images in which an image indicating the break of a classification is not photographed first so as to be displayed at the head of the classification, and to provide such an image recording method and a program. SOLUTION: Whether a previous image and an image photographed this time are in the same classification or different classifications is decided when photographing the image, and when deciding that the image is to be in the classification different from the previous image, a simple paragraph image is recorded for the break between the previous image and the image of this time. Then, when recording a representative image instead of the paragraph image after recording the paragraph image, it is recorded after replacing a part of the management data of the representative image with the management data of the paragraph data, and even the representative image recorded after the image of this time is displayed before the image of this time.
