<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve position detecting precision, without causing cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: A GPS receiver is provided by an array antenna, having antenna elements A0, Ax arranged on the x-axis and antenna elements A0, Ay arranged on the y-axis orthogonal to the x-axis. Based on the satellite signal received by this array antenna, the arriving angle of the satellite signal to the reference direction is estimated, and it is determined whether the angular difference between the estimated arrival angle and the arrival angle, obtained from the orbital information of the satellite, is lower than a reference value.
