PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally initiated molten salt capacitor which can be applied to a huge electric power storage for short period to long period and can take out electric energy accumulated in a capacitor when it is needed. SOLUTION: The thermally initiated molten salt capacitor comprises a pair of polarizable electrodes and an electrolyte interface made of molten salt, featured by solidifying the molten salt with electric energy accumulated in the capacitor.
