PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display some video images when a user selects a physical channel to which no logical channels correspond in a digital television broadcasting receiver to which a V chip 2.0 is mounted. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 18 acquires a variable RRT from a broadcasting signal and stores it in a non-volatile memory corresponding to the physical channel, sets a viewing restriction flag to the item of the variable RRT based on the operation input of a user, restricts the viewing of the broadcasting signal when rating information corresponds to a level to which the viewing restriction flag is set in the variable RRT, selects a channel, where the physical channel has corresponded to the logical one in the channel map of other tuners, as an alternative channel, when the selected physical channel does not correspond to the logical one, and allows the variable RRT corresponding to the alternative channel to also correspond to the selected physical channel.
