TWO-DIMENSIONAL CULTURE METHOD FOR DIATOM, AND CULTURE BASE PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional culture method for diatoms comprising two-dimensionally and thickly culturing diatoms on a base plate: and to provide a culture base plate on which the diatoms are cultured by the method. SOLUTION: The two-dimensional culture method for diatoms comprises the following process: modifying the flat surface of the base plate with organic molecules; making the base plate adsorb the diatoms; and separating the diatoms adsorbed by organic molecules from the floating diatoms through cleaning them with culture media followed by culturing the diatoms adsorbed by the organic molecules at an appropriate temperature.
