PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for profitably collecting a 2-acylheteroaromatic compound, by which an un-reacted heteroaromatic compound can more easily be recovered without solidifying the 2-acylheteroaromatic compound than by conventional methods, when the heteroaromatic compound is subjected to a gas phase contact reaction with a carboxylic anhydride compound to produce the 2-acylheteroaromatic compound. SOLUTION: This method for collecting the 2-acylheteroaromatic compound is characterized by subjecting a heteroaromatic compound to a gas phase contact reaction with a carboxylic anhydride compound, and then contacting the reaction product gas containing the produced 2-acylheteroaromatic compound with the heteroaromatic compound to dissolve and collect the 2-acylheteroaromatic compound in the heteroaromatic compound.
