The procedure for the production of plastic tubes, comprises extruding a mixture of polymer and peroxide at 165[deg] C and then subsequently cross-linking at 180-240[deg] C between an extrusion nozzle (8) and a calibration (9) by supplying of warm through infrared radiation. The extrusion tube in the area (1) between the extrusion nozzle and the calibration is supported partially over a static and individual cooled support device. An independent claim is included for a device for the production of plastic tubes.
