A linear compressor is provided to prevent an oil pipe from being deformed and to block impurities that move along an oil pipe by installing a spacer at a suction port formed at an end portion of the oil pipe. A linear compressor comprises an oil pipe(1'), an oil piston(2), an oil spring(3), an oil cylinder(4) and an oil valve assembly(5). The oil pipe supplies oil from an oil reservoir(22). The oil piston generates pressure to pump up oil. The oil spring is provided at both ends of the oil spring to apply elasticity to the oil piston such that the oil piston performs linear movement. The oil cylinder guides the linear movement of the oil piston. The oil valve assembly is disposed between the oil pipe and the oil cylinder to adjust the amount of oil being supplied.
