An optical film and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve anti-shock performance by effectively blocking an external ray using an external ray blocking pattern. An optical film includes a base film(10), an external ray blocking pattern(21), and a UV(Ultra-Violet) resin(30). The external ray blocking pattern is formed on the base film. A photo-sensitive material which is laminated on the base film is patterned to form the external ray blocking pattern. The UV resin is applied on the base film on which the external ray blocking pattern is formed. The base film is one of plastic, glass, and antireflection films.
