A game device and a game method are provided to give motivation to a user to select a larger number of groups and to increase the entire bet amount by changing the computed allotment based on the number of selected groups. A game device includes a display and a controller(100). Symblols are assigned to each display area. The controller is programmed to select one or more of groups of the display areas; to decide whether a winning combination is established based on the symbols displayed on the selected group; to compute allotment based on the established winning combination and the bet value of each group; and to change the computed allotment based on the number of the selected groups. The controller is programmed to change the computed allotment when all groups are selected.
