<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report a danger to a patient and an operator beforehand, to make the operator who is working to be prepared for stopping the work and to smoothly perform treatment further by generating an alarm in the initial stage before stop without immediately stopping the elevation of a dental treatment chair by a safety switch or stopping the operation of a unit when the treatment chair is elevated and the thigh part of the patient or the like is clamped between the lower part of a cuspidor bowl and the treatment chair. <P>SOLUTION: The dental treatment unit comprises a vertically movable dental treatment chair 1 and a cuspidor apparatus 3 fixed and disposed at the side part of the dental treatment chair 1. After the cuspidor bowl 4 is moved to a gargling position, the dental treatment chair 1 is elevated and adjusted to such a position that the patient can easily gargle. A flexible air pressure chamber 20 and a pressure sensor 22 for detecting a pressure inside the air pressure chamber are provided on the lower part of the cuspidor bowl 4, an alarm is generated when the pressure inside the air pressure chamber reaches a prescribed pressure, and the elevation of the dental treatment chair is stopped when the pressure inside the air pressure chamber reaches a further higher prescribed pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
