摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secure communication method with which a new nonce with which an initial value is not easily inferred by a third person even when re-initiation occurs in an authentication device wherein re-initiation may occur, and which can be achieved at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication device A comprises a random number generating means 1a for generating a random number and a nonce generating means 2a for generating a nonce N, wherein the nonce generating means 2a is adaptive to generate an initial value N(1) of the nonce N on the basis of the random number generated by the random number generating means at least when re-initiating the authentication device A and a new nonce N(n+1), other than the initial value, in the case that the authentication device A authenticates a device B to be authenticated, is generated by making increment a nonce N(n) used for the last authentication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
