PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) probe hardly causing breakage even if an external force is applied thereto. SOLUTION: The OCT probe has an intermediate pipe section being installed between at least the tip of a metal proximal pipe and the end of a resin distal tube for making it approximately coaxial with the metal proximal pipe and the resin distal tube, and having the rigidity intermediate between the proximal pipe and the distal tube. Preferably, at least the outside diameter of the base end side of the intermediate pipe section is constituted larger than the outside diameter of the proximal pipe, so that at least tip of the proximal pipe is inserted into the end side of the intermediate pipe to connect the proximal pipe to the intermediate pipe section.
