PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage container of structure allowing taking out and carrying of a drain container with a lid body attached, and easy to determine whether the drain container is installed in a container body or not. SOLUTION: This garbage container 10 comprises the container body 11, the drain container 12 and the lid body 13. The lid body 13 is fixed to the drain container 12 by fitting the lid body 13 on the drain container 12 and engaging a tip of an arm 54 with an engagement piece 34. The drain container 12 is provided with a spacer 33 on the outer surface of the upper edge thereof, and the upper edge of the container body 11 is provided with a body flange 21 on which an end of the spacer 33 abuts. The spacer 33 is formed into a predetermined dimension, and the upper edge of the drain container 12 is exposed outside the container body 12 with the drain container 12 inserted into the container body 11, and an operation space 61 for engagement of the engagement piece 34 of the drain container 12 with the tip of the arm 54 of the lid body 13 is secured between the engagement piece 34 and the upper edge of the container body 11.
