PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of sending an email directly to a destination IP address using a method compliant to RFC2822. SOLUTION: A direct SMTP sending function for directly sending emails and a normal sending function for sending emails via mail servers 31, 32 are provided. In the case of direct SMTP sending, an alternative mail address registered beforehand for each destination UP address is imparted to the RCPT TO of email. In the case of sending via the servers, a sending mail server 32 can be individually registered for each destination mail address. Further, a sending mail server 31 for an entire device 1 can be registered, and whether emails are sent via the entire mail server 31 or the individual mail server 32 can be registered beforehand for each destination mail address.
