PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly solve the problem that it becomes difficult for a display device to display video because hardware and software other than the display device are changed, with simple constitution. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a local area network system S provided with: a display device 1 installed in the bathroom or the like; and a video information supply part 3 having a device for reading video information from a video information recording medium, and it is provided with a repeater 2 interposed between a video information supply part 3 and the display device 1, thereby a signal including video information output by the video information supply part 3 can be transmitted to the display device 1 via the repeater 2. The repeater 2 includes a signal processing means for processing the signal so that it is adapted to the display device 1 when the signal transmitted by the video information supply part 3 is not adapted to the display device 1.
