TURBINE ENGINE LUBRICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

The invention relates to a turbine engine (2) lubrication system and method, comprising an oil tank (46), an oil supply pump (48), an air/oil separator (50) and at least two chambers (40a, 40b) which are closed with low airflow seals, include an outlet in the lower part thereof (44a, 44b) and contain shaft support bearings. The inventive method comprises the following steps in which: oil from the tank is injected into the chambers using the pump in order to lubricate the bearings; a low flow rate of compressed air is introduced into the chambers through the seals in order to pressurise said chambers; all of the air and oil introduced into the chambers is recovered at the above-mentioned lower outlet; gravity and chamber pressurisation are used to convey the air/oil mixture thus recovered towards the air/oil separator; the air and the oil from said mixture are separated using an air/oil separator; the oil is returned to the tank; and the air is released from the turbine engine to the exterior.
