The kitchen utensil has a support section (6) consisting of a bottom (7) and two side walls (4) which engage in a slot (3) located in the chopping board (1), as a result of which the chopping board can be guided on the support section in the slot in the longitudinal direction. A guide rail (8) is located inside the support section, and in this guide rail a detachable container can be guided and fixed, and also moved in the longitudinal direction of the chopping board, being extendable beyond both narrow sides of the chopping board.
