<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal identification device and a personal identification system allowing a user to use a function only by authentication operation with a face to which the function is assigned when a user performs authentication. <P>SOLUTION: The personal identification device comprises face image acquiring means 4 and 5 for photographing a user's face to acquire face image data, a face image database 8 for storing face image data of the user to which an execution function is assigned, a face authenticating means 9 for retrieving face image data stored in the face image database with the face image data acquired by the face image acquiring means and executing the face authentication, and function determination means 10, 11 and 12 for outputting an operation command signal to an external device for executing the execution function based on the execution function assigned to the authenticated face image data stored in the face image database when the face authentication is established by the face authenticating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
