摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device for an engine capable of securing high durability even if a high pressure fuel pump has a large capacity and high pressure by suppressing the generation of cavitation erosion on the high pressure fuel pump and constituent parts of an oil supply/discharge system caused by a spil of fuel in a plunger chamber of the high pressure fuel pump to the oil supply/discharge system. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel injection device for an engine is constituted so as to jet high pressure fuel pressure-fed and accumulated in a common rail by a high pressure fuel pump through a fuel injection valve at prescribed injection timing, is equipped with a controller for maintaining the closing state of the solenoid valve after closing the solenoid valve to discharge fuel in an up-stroke by a pump cam of a plunger, and for making a plunger chamber communicate with an oil supply/discharge passage by opening the solenoid valve at given timing in the down stroke of the plunger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
