<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate inconvenience that in order to continue multicast communication in accordance with path control information after an active system and a standby system are switched, it is necessary for the standby system to hold the same path control information as the active system but since identity of path control information is not guaranteed, data originally to be transferred may not be transferred. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a data transfer apparatus connected to a network, the data transfer apparatus comprises a plurality of interfaces for transmitting/receiving data, constructs transfer destination information making a destination of data corresponding to the interface which transfers data to be transmitted to the destination and holds the constructed transfer destination information and if data for multicast communication are received via the interface prior to determining that the transfer destination information has been constructed, regardless of the transfer destination information, data for multicast communication are transmitted from the one or more interfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
