RUST-PREVENTIVE PIGMENT AND ANTICORROSIVE COATING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THE SAME

The invention provides a pollution-free rust-preventive pigment which can impart excellent anticorrosion to metal materials; and anticorrosive coating compositions containing the pigment. The anticorrosive coating compositions are characterized by consisting of a noncrystalline inorganic composition containing P<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB>, CaO, SiO<SUB>2</SUB>, and MgO, preferably consisting of a non- crystalline inorganic composition containing 10 to 30% by mass of P<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB>, 20 to 40% by mass of CaO, 10 to 30% by mass of SiO<SUB>2</SUB>, and 10 to 20% by mass of MgO.
