A receiver for removing an image signal and an image signal removing method using the same are provided to remove the image signal generated during a sampling process by simultaneously sampling a received RF signal by using a clock having a phase difference of 90 degrees and adding/subtracting the sampled signal, thereby reducing a size of a receiver. A low noise amplifier(210) amplifies a received RF(Radio Frequency) signal through a preset gain. First to fourth retardation signal generators(220-250) simultaneously branch a signal outputted from the low noise amplifier and receives the branched signals. The first to fourth retardation signal generators generate first to fourth retardation signals by sampling the applied signal through a clock having a phase difference of 90 degrees. A subtraction unit(260) selects first and fourth retardation signals or second and third retardation signals among the generated first to fourth retardation signals, and performs inter-subtraction of the selected retardation signals before outputting the subtracted signals. An adder(270) performs inter-addition of two retardation signals, which are not selected by the subtraction unit, among the first to fourth retardation signals.
