A polypropylene resin composition, and an oriented yarn prepared by using the composition are provided to reduce the generation of harmful gas or smoke in case of combustion. A polypropylene resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin; 40-150 parts by weight of a carbonization additive; 7-150 parts by weight of calcium carbonate; 2-4 parts by weight of zinc(Zn); 1.7-3.1 parts by weight of a wax; and 0.7-1.4 parts by weight of a solvent. Also the polypropylene resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin; 40-150 parts by weight of a carbonization additive; 7-150 parts by weight of calcium carbonate; 0.6-1.2 parts by weight of zinc; 7-13 parts by weight of sulfur; 100-150 parts by weight of magnesium hydroxide; (Mg(OH)2); 2.2-4.7 parts by weight of a wax; and 1.9-3.5 parts by weight of a solvent.
