<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism which permits an object to be locked such as an opening and closing cover to be easily turned locked or unlocked. <P>SOLUTION: When the opening and closing cover 2 moves to a locking position, a second rocking member 37 rotates in the direction where a second other end 48 separates from a butting arm portion 54 by the pressing of a butting portion 47 by the opening and closing cover, and the engagement projection 42 of the first rocking member 36 engage into the engagement hole 30 of the opening and closing cover and turns locked. When the latching solenoid 39 releases the hold of the reference posture of a third rocking member 38, the butting arm portion presses a first other end 43 of the first rocking member in accordance with the rotation of a third rocking member, whereby the engagement projection is disengaged from the engagement hole and turns unlocked. When the opening and closing cover leaves from the locking position, the first rocking member and the second rocking member rotate and the other ends of both rocking members cooperate and press the butting arm portion, whereby the third rocking member is returned to the reference posture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
