PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit board for a proximity sensor and a proximity sensor using that circuit board capable of making a flat type and head type in the same build even in case the both types are structured in common. SOLUTION: A cut-off part 44 is formed in free separation and cutting at a boundary of a cutting line 42 crossing the common circuit board 41, and a cross-section side formed by cutting of the cut-off part 44 has a second coil arrangement part formed. That cut-off part 44 includes at least a part of a first coil arrangement part 27 to be a useless space for a head-type proximity sensor. Further, the common circuit part 43 has a detection circuit 24 formed, and at the same time, a flat-type connecting part 25 and a head-type connecting part 33 can be set connectable to either detection coil at the first coil arrangement part 27 and the second coil arrangement part.
