PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of forming a latent image excellent in visibility upon visualization and more easily discriminating between a genuine product and a non-genuine product.

SOLUTION: The layered body 10 for discrimination is provided with: a scattering type polarizing layer 11 including first and second parts arranged side by side in the in-plain direction; and a birefringent layer 12 which is located on the front surface side of the polarizing layer 11 and faces the polarizing layer 11 only on a position of the first part.
