PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative solid fuel combustion apparatus with a very high commercial value. SOLUTION: The solid fuel combustion apparatus is for burning solid fuel 1 such as wood, charcoal and pellets. A partition part 4 horizontally partitioning a container 3 interior is provided in the container 3 provided in a combustion chamber 2. An upper portion of the partition part 4 is set as a fuel holding part 5 holding the solid fuel 1, and a lower portion of the partition part 4 is set as a combustion part 6 burning the solid fuel 1. An opening 4a communicating the fuel holding part 5 with the combustion part 6 is provided in the partition part 4. In a fuel supply part 10, when the solid fuel 1 having been held in the fuel holding part 5, having passed through the opening 4a of the partition part 4, and having been supplied to the combustion part 6 has been burned, the solid fuel 1 positioned above a portion 20 wherein the burnt solid fuel 1 was positioned is supplied by tumbling down by gravity.
