A ferrite material comprising a material and Bi2O3 added to the material in an amount of 6% by mass or less, preferably 4% by mass or less, the material being represented by the compositional formula: x(Li0.5Fe0.5)O.yZnO.z(Mn,Fe)2O3 wherein, when there is the following definition: a= Mn/(Mn+Fe), x, y, z and a in the compositional formula and the definition satisfy the following requirements: 0.18<=x<=0.30, 0.20<=y<=0.30, 0.48<=z<=0.53, 0.01<=a<=0.25, and x+y+z=1. The ferrite material shows an extremely narrow range of variation in magnetic permeability under a high external stress and shows a small core loss even under a compressive stress. By using the ferrite material, it is possible to provide an inductor or trans which exhibits a small loss even in a resin-molded state. |
