The door assembly and its movement mechanism comprise guides (19) on each side, along each of which guides travel two bearings (7, 8) which can be disengaged and withdrawn from the guides (19) though corresponding slots (11, 12) provided therein. The upper part of each guide has a temporary immobilization region (18) which receives the upper bearings (7) and which defines a virtual pivoting axis about which the door assembly tilts during the first phase of its detachment movement. This invention is of interest to the manufacturers of enclosed fireplaces. |
