The invention relates to a guiding element (2) for a track element (1) in a wheel suspension of a vehicle, one of the elements being disposed so as to be fixed to the vehicle body and the other element being arranged so as to be fastened to the wheel. A plain bearing which allows the guiding element to perform a sliding movement on the track element is embodied between said elements. The guiding element is rotatably and/or pivotally guided on the track element via a joint assembly (3) inside which at least one plain bearing ring (4) is placed that is guided on the track element by means of the circular through-hole (4d) thereof, said through-hole (4d) being adapted to the cross section of the track element. The joint assembly can be configured as a rubber bush (3) or a ball-and-socket joint (3'). Preferably, several sliding rings are positioned on top of each other in a hollow member (3b) encompassing spherical segments such that at least the section of the sliding rings which faces the track element can be moved slightly substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the track element, thus making it possible to create a curved track.
