The assembly (15) has front and rear panels (40) forming an access door with a fixed articulation and a floating articulation (46b) arranged between a hooking device e.g. engine mounting structure, and an articulated end (36) of a nacelle cowling i.e. thrust reverser cowl (33). The cowling is displaced from a closed position to an open position and vice versa. A panel retaining unit including an arm (54) is connected on the panels and retained by a stop during a displacement of the cowling from an open position so as to cause a relative displacement of the panels with respect to the cowling.
