A method for operating an application is provided to enable a user to use the application stored in the network even though a member shop terminal is changed or replaced by downloading the application stored in the network to an ICC(IC Chip) of a smart card through an MS(Magnetic Stripe) card. A server receives client ID information, which is extracted from an ICC of a client, from an ICC interface terminal. The server checks client application list information linked with the received client ID information from a storage linking/storing the client ID information, client applications, and the client application list information, and outputs the client application list information to the ICC interface terminal. The server extracts and transfers an application to the ICC interface terminal when at least one application is selected from an application list output to the ICC interface terminal(265). The ICC interface terminal stores the application to the ICC of the client(270). |
