A method for preparing a thermoplastic vulcanized product by using waste rubber is provided to improve the reactivity of waste rubber with a thermoplastic resin by modifying the surface of the waste rubber and to enhance mechanical properties. A method for preparing a thermoplastic vulcanized product by using waste rubber comprises the steps of modifying the surface of the waste rubber powder by using at least one process selected from the group consisting of ultrasonication, microwave irradiation, radiation irradiation, corona discharge treatment, ion beam irradiation and amine group introduction; and mixing the surface-modified waste rubber powder and a thermoplastic resin at an extruder having a forward screw part, a kneading disc part and a reverse screw part.
