A plasma display apparatus is provided to enhance reliability without a bright defect by applying an offset signal with a positive polarity to increase gradually after supplying a reset signal to a plasma display panel. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel and drivers. The plasma display panel includes discharge cells at sections where scan and sustain electrodes cross each other. The drivers apply a reset signal for initializing the discharge cells to the scan electrodes during a reset period. During at least one reset period of plural sub-fields, first and second reset signals including a ramp-up signal to increase gradually and a ramp-down signal to decrease gradually respectively are applied to the scan electrodes. An offset signal to increase gradually is applied between the first and second reset signals.
