<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypeptide composition useful for diagnoses and vaccines and immunologically cross-reactive with a large number of HCV (hepatitis C virus) isolates (especially, in relating to a heterogeneous domain of the virus). <P>SOLUTION: The immunoreactive polypeptide composition contains at least two HCV amino acid sequences. In the composition, each of the amino acid sequences contains at least 1 epitope existing in a variable domain of an HCV envelope polypeptide, wherein the amino acid sequences in the variable domain are mutually heterogenous and are derived from distinct HCV isolates, and lengths of each of the amino acid sequences are not longer than the entire length of the envelope protein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
