PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device having an actuator of simple and inexpensive construction. SOLUTION: The disk device includes a housing which has a base and a cover fixed to the base, a disk which has a plurality of tracks rotatably mounted within the housing, a head which performs writing/reading of the data to/from the disk, and a head actuator which has an actuator arm rotatably mounted in the housing and supporting the head at the front end, moves the head across the trucks of the disk, and a stopper which abuts on the actuator arm and obstructs the movement of the actuator arm to more than the prescribed inner side or outer side.
